What are NTA scores and how are they calculated?
NTA scores are normalized scores across multi-session papers. They are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in a particular session.
The marks obtained are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for candidates who appeared in each session.
The following formula is used to calculate the NTA score for a particular candidate:
(100*Number of candidates who appeared in the ‘Session’ with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate)/(Total number of the candidates who appeared in the ‘Session’)
Candidates should note that the NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained.
When will the ranks of the candidates be released?
The ranks of the candidates will be released after the Feb, March, April, and May session of JEE Main 2021 exam taking into consideration the best of the four NTA scores.
The candidates can appear in one, two, three, four examinations as per their choice.
