KPMG and UPES Dehradun To Jointly Launch MBA in Strategy and Consulting

In a dynamically changing industry environment, professionals need skills that are relevant and up to par with the industry standards. In such an effort, UPES and KPMG are collaborating to launch an MBA program in strategy and consulting at the university. The course will introduce them to the current professional standards and equip them with the skills and expertise required to have a successful management career.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with UPES to jointly deliver two MBA programmes. These programmes are aimed at developing industry-relevant skills among future professionals in a dynamically changing business world,” Narayanan Ramaswamy, National Leader, Education and Skill Development, KPMG India, said.

These hands-on programmes, many courses of which will be delivered by our own professionals, will provide industry exposure to students, equipping them with knowledge, skills and techniques required to kick start a career in management in their area of interest,” he added.

The course will be handled by KMPG. The modules will be carefully selected by KPMG experts and case studies and mentored projects will be provided to give them a hands-on experience with real-life situations. In case of any doubts, the students can approach KPMG subject experts through face-to-face virtual lectures.

Upon completing this, the students will receive an MBA degree from UPES and be awarded a certificate from KPMG

The Rising Demand For Professionals

As the economy grows, there is a rising demand for professionals well-versed in management and strategy. The industry has had a compound annual growth rate of 15-20% over the past decade, and consulting firms have witnessed double-digit growth even during the pandemic.

On the occasion, Dr. Sunil Rai, Vice-Chancellor of UPES, said, “Multi-faceted disruption is pushing businesses to re-think their sustenance and growth strategy for which they require expert professionals who can help them navigate unprecedented scenarios.”

“We are proud to be the first University to offer an MBA program in Strategy and Consulting, that too in partnership with KPMG, which will definitely provide our students with an edge. Besides co-creating and co-delivering this program, KPMG will also work with us on the ‘train the trainer’ model that will immensely benefit our faculty members,” he added.

KPMG is a British-Dutch multinational professional services network and is widely considered one of the big four consulting firms. Considering its disposition in the industry, this will be a perfect opportunity for aspirants to learn the ropes from the best.
