We became National Finalists of Mahindra War Room Season 11 after making it through the jury pick, also known as the Golden tier round. The feeling was magical. It was a memorable moment when we were declared the winner of the Golden tier round. My team confidently said that they believed in the idea and it was bold enough to win.
Mahindra War Room 11 is a reputed corporate competition that teaches us a lot through real business relevant case studies with a high probability of our solution being implemented. It was our litmus test to know how business ready we were. We worked for 3 months to come up with the final output. It took lots of sleepless nights and zombie-like turn ups in classes. Primary research wasn't as easy as we thought it would be, but quick thinking and a presence of mind make things easier.
Mahindra War Room literally put all teammates at war when it came to conflicts in opinions. But that's the best part of it when you breathe together and dream together as a unit in the interest of the team. We resolved them through in-depth discussions with proper guidance from our faculty, guides, and people with industry knowledge.
Our team worked really hard on the attributes including but not limited to creativity, openness to explore new ideas, empathy for the subject of the solution, never say die attitude, perseverance and above all, the desire deep within to make our solution known to the world, so it can help the people to whom it really matters, in our case the farmers. There have been times when we hit a dead-end and thought of giving up. What kept us going was the perseverance, team spirit, and the commitment we felt towards our solution.
A total of 11 teams were competing in the finale of Mahindra War Room Season 11. We never evaluated our competitors in the sense that we believed that everyone who was there on that platform deserved to be there. I learnt a lot of management as well as life-changing attributes. These include empathy, design thinking and logical evaluation of alternate solutions, among others.
The competition was crystal clear at every stage and very intense with judging. Also, the questioning was done to the most microscopic levels. It was great. The organizers treated us well in terms of hospitality during the grand finale.
