Many experts are already projecting that India is slated to be the startup hub of the next generation. Having turned 44 startups into unicorns, which is just behind US & China, India is now the 3rd largest startup ecosystem in the world according to the Economic Survey 2020-21. Along with several government initiatives, the fact that established industrialists have invested with startups in India have jointly paved the way for this massive success.   

At the same time, it has led many young business graduates to venture into entrepreneurship with confidence. Gone are the days when graduates with business degrees would get a significant amount of work experience with an MNC before even thinking of starting off on their own.

MBA in Startup and Entrepreneurship is a specially designed course that helps students to start their own business ventures. Usually, it is a two-year full-time degree course that teaches social innovation and the nuances of working in corporate culture. On top of that, there is a special focus on building leadership skills - an unavoidable element in growing a business.

What Does It Take To Pursue MBA In Startup & Entrepreneurship? 

Even though MBA in Startup and Entrepreneurship has become a highly popular course in India, the admission procedure is similar to other courses. For starters, a candidate seeking admission into this course will require a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university in India.   

Apart from that, a candidate needs to also qualify for one of the main MBA entrance exams. Even though the preferred exam varies from college to college, some of the standard ones are CAT, NMAT, XAT, SNAP and CMAT. Following this, the final step would be a GD & PI rounds at the institutes. However, keep in mind that not all colleges conduct GD & PI rounds.
