MDI Gurgaon placements concluded for the class of 2021, top salary package stood at INR 44 lakhs!

MDI Gurgaon placements are now complete for the class of 2021. The highest number of new recruiters were from Technology, Telecommunication & Media and FMCD/FMCG sectors. The highest salary package of INR 44 lakhs was offered by Amazon, a jump of 8.6% from the previous year (INR 40.5 lakhs).

Important highlights of MDI Gurgaon placements 2021

Some important highlights of MDI Gurgaon placements 2021 were as follows:

1. The overall salary package stood at INR 23.15 lakhs and thus increased by 5% from the previous year (INR 22.05 lakhs).
2. The median salary package stood at INR 23 lakhs.
3. The highest salary package stood at INR 44 lakhs and was offered by Amazon.
4. The highest number of offers were given by reputed companies such as Deloitte which made 19 offers, PwC US Advisory which again made 19 offers, Cognizant which rolled out 17 offers, ICICI Bank which made 15 offers and PwC India. 
5. This year 128 total companies participated in MDI Gurgaon placements 2021.
6. Some other prominent companies that participated in the placement process were Airbnb, BMW Group India, D.E. Shaw, Google, Johnson & Johnson, Reckitt Benckiser, The Chesapeake Group, Thoucentric and ZS associates. 

Kanwal Kapil, dean-placements, alumni relations, consulting and continuing education at MDI Gurgaon said that “In the COVID scenario, we were expecting many recruiters to cut down on hiring numbers. Based on that assumption, we made a conscious effort to reach out to new and diverse recruiters, particularly those from sectors such as consulting and technology, and telecommunication that are doing well in the current scenario”.

1. The batch of 2019-21 comprised 239 students from the PGPM programme and 60 students from the PGP-HRM programme.
2. 85 companies offered various roles across multiple domains in the summer placement process.
3. 30 new recruiters participated in the summer placement process. 
4. The average stipend rose by 10%.
