'No Company Wanted To Hire Me As An Apprentice!' - How Nandini A. Became World's Youngest CA

At an age when her contemporaries are probably seeking admission into colleges, Morena Madhya Pradesh’s 19-year-old Nandini Agrawal has become the world's youngest female chartered accountant, as per Guinness Records. Her feat has left everyone impressed and surprised at the same time. Let’s see what motivated her to take this path.
Academically brilliant, jumped two classes
At school, Nandini Agrawal had always been a hard-working student with exceptional academic performance. Because of this, she jumped two classes in her early childhood! Hence, she completed her 10th board exams at 13, followed by the 12th board exams at 15. Inspired by a Guinness World Record holder who had once visited her school, Nandini, too, wanted to do something praiseworthy. So, she set her eyes on becoming the youngest CA. However, Nandini’s young age didn’t prove to be very helpful in the process, especially for her apprenticeship. Because she was just 16 years old, firms were hesitant to take her as an apprentice. However, this didn’t bog her down, and she continued to work towards her goal.
At 19, Nandini topped with a score of 614 out of 800 (76.75%) in the CA final 2021. She was precisely 19 years old, 330 days old, when the result was announced. Her feat got her name registered in the Guinness World Records as the world's youngest female chartered accountant.
Do you know? The Guinness Record for the youngest male CA is also held by an Indian - Ramendra Chandra Ganguli of Lucknow achieved the feat at the age of 19 in May 1956.
Sibling became her best supporter
Nandini’s elder brother was the biggest support in her journey. Since he, too, was preparing for the CA exams, he could understand the obstacles and guide her well. So whether it was poor marks in her mock tests or demotivation, Nandini would turn towards her brother whenever she needed guidance. While Nandini stood first in the final merit list, her brother bagged the 18th spot in the same exam.
People like Nandini defy all norms and etch history. They go beyond the boundaries of age, gender, cities, etc., and make their mark. Kudos to people who break barriers and teach others to #BeUnstoppable.
