9 Private Job Portals And NCS Join Forces: A Win-Win for Students
The government in its push to accelerate jobs for students has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with leading private job portals, employers, companies and skill providers. This empowering initiative was undertaken by the Ministry of Labour and Employment with the idea of integrating with the National Career Service (NCS) portal.
The National Career Service (NCS) is a job portal that offers career guidance and job opportunities to job seekers. It serves as an employment exchange, providing regular job notifications for government jobs, and ensuring individuals stay updated on the latest employment news.
What Govt’s MoU With Private Job Portals Means For Students
As per the MoU, now leading private job portals in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Employment will open up their vacancies on the NCS portal. This will greatly enhance students and jobseekers who have registered on the NCS portal to smoothly search and apply for the relevant jobs available.
30 lakh eShram registered workers registered on the NCS would also benefit from this partnership. eShram is the first-ever national database of unorganized workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers, etc.
