Nestle Ingenium 2017-An HR Case Challenge
Nestle's relationship with India dates back to 1912, when it began trading as The Nestle Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company (Export) Limited, importing and selling finished products in the Indian market. However, after India’s independence in 1947, Nestle established manufacturing units in Moga, Punjab to develop the milk economy of that area. Nestle has been a partner in India's growth for over a century now and has built a very special relationship of trust and commitment with the people of India.
In order to build a special bond with the student community Nestle organises guest lectures, competitions across campuses, however, it is the case study competition which draws in the larger number of talents. Nestle Ingenium has been one such initiative which aims to gather bright ideas and recommendations from talents on Human Resource Domain.

Ingenium 2017 tried to find answers to these questions-
What do you think of labour laws? Do you think people have all the resources to avail their full potential? Do you believe in the idea of fair pay
Ingenium 2017 was open for all management students of TISS, XLRI, SCMHRD and SIBM. Students were asked to form teams with 3 members from the campus.
The participating teams were given a case and the students were required to design an HR strategy, a plan with clear compensation details, benefits and perks for the fictitious company keeping in mind the circumstances of the employee cases mentioned in the case study.
The teams had to engage in thorough research to develop a full-proof plan so that the employees are happy without compromising on the philosophy and output of the company.
The recommendations sent by the teams were evaluated by the jury of Nestle and the entry by a team from SIBM Pune comprising of Purba Das, Abhineet Tyagi and Sohana Kamath was most liked.
This case-study competition gave the students and early hands-on experience in the Human Resource domain which can be best learned through practice.
