National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore is rolling out applications for the Academic Fellowship Program to share their vision to bring in legal reforms and transform the Indian legal system through research and policy intervention.

About the fellowship

The university invites 10 academic fellows on a contract basis for a two-year-full-time fellowship, which is designed for graduates and postgraduates from law, social sciences, humanities, and related fields who intend to enter law practice or academic careers in law, public policy, or the social sciences. This opportunity will allow the fellows to assist NLSIU faculty on research projects and policy interventions, and support them in delivery of both on-campus and off-campus academic programs.

Key responsibilities in academics

In the academics domain, selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

Assist the faculty in delivering the academic programmes (both online and offline)
Prepare learning aids, practice questions, and learning materials
Review and update study materials under the faculty’s guidance
Respond to and resolve students’ academic queries
Miscellaneous duties assigned by the faculty head

Key responsibilities in research

In the research domain, selected candidate will be expected to:

Collaborate with faculty for research and publications
Assist the faculty in on-going case writing and research projects
Conduct literature reviews
Assist in editing for University publications
Work with research projects and centers on breakthrough issues in law/policy

Eligibility criteria for the Academic Fellowship Program

University is seeking candidates that are self-driven, collaborative, data-driven, and fulfill the following criteria:

Postgraduate degree or LL.B degree in any discipline. (Candidates with an LL.M/M.A./Ph.D. will be given preference).
0-3 years of work experience in an academic or professional setting with proven evidence of research and writing ability.
Proficiency in MS Office, Gmail, Google Documents and Google Sheets.

Remuneration and last date to apply
