Changing Parameters Defeat India’s Best

The addition of three new parameters this year led to a change in the weightage awarded to each parameter. Consequently, the rankings for many universities changed, including Indian universities.

Reports suggest that Indian universities, especially, slipped in ranks due to the addition of the indicator - International student ratio. Per the QS Rankings 2024, India scores lower than countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam on this indicator.
