Reliance T.U.P 4.0 National Finalist Aman Jain's Story

It felt like the time has paused and my heart has stopped beating. I never thought I would be receiving the award for being the National Finalist of Reliance T.U.P 4.0. I feel that real talent does not lie in studying a lot or scoring good marks, it is way beyond that. Moreover, competitions like Reliance T.U.P 4.0 provide a platform for students to showcase their real talents and prove their mettle.

Preparing for the competition was the biggest challenge that we faced. We had our exams during the time when Reliance TUP 4.0 was being held. So, coordinating between exams and such a big competition was an arduous task. However, we figured out a way. We compromised our sleep for the competition and worked day and night. Also, there were times when we had no sleep for 48 hours straight.

A team is a backbone for winning in any situation or competition. While making our team, we made sure that we had diverse talent. We did have conflicts and even fights regarding our solution but it was because of those fights that we were able to win. In a world like ours, it is necessary to have different views on the same things. Those fights led to unique solutions for our problem statement. So, in the end, everyone was satisfied with our proposal. And ‘All's well that ends well’.

I cannot pinpoint individual forte for the team members as our team in itself was a forte! According to me, you don't need talents to win a competition. All you need is a hardworking and understanding team. We combined our experiences from diverse fields such as finance, technical, marketing, and strategy, resulting in the ultimate team- ‘Team Pitchers’ brewed to ultimate perfection.

There were around 23 teams in the finale and all of them performed well. So, for me, all of them were our tough competitors. All in all, Reliance TUP 4.0 was excellent and challenging in all terms and at all levels. We garnered many learnings from our competitors. The mentors at Reliance helped us constantly to expand our horizons in terms of intellect. Everyone focused on one thing- ‘Think Big’.

The most special moment for me was sitting in the room with Hital R. Meswani, Executive Director, Reliance Industries Limited, and sharing our ideas and thoughts. Our experience was really amazing. We were constantly pampered by everybody at Reliance. We learned a great deal from them which I am grateful for.
