Reliance T.U.P 4.0 National Finalist Shubham Vinay Kothare's Story

National Finalists of Reliance T.U.P 4.0 - a feeling I can't express in words. All the hard work and sleepless nights put into bringing our idea into reality finally paid off. Reliance T.U.P is a platform that provides an opportunity to B-School students to realize their entrepreneurial dreams and guidance to grow in the right direction.

When the competition was announced, we first read and understood the concept and ideology behind the competition. It said ‘your Pitch, our Turf’. So, we knew that the competition is focussed on boosting the entrepreneurial zeal among B-School students. We also understood that the focus has to be on sustainability and environmental issues, which will help us make this world a little more cleaner and greener.

We focussed on each and every component and delivered a solution that we were extremely satisfied with. It took us around 20+ days with 6-7 hours dedicated each day to come up with a solution which we presented, named, 'JAN LOGISTICS'.

Working with my team has been a great learning experience. My teammates Aditya and Himanshu have been my roommates for a year, which gave us an insight into the thought process of the other. Living together helped us a lot in aligning our thoughts. Though sometimes we had fights, but that was while deciding who will get the last slice of the late night pizza!

Each of us had a common and unique skill to add to the team, and I believe that was the only reason for us to achieve this feat. Aditya is good in finance & excellent with numbers. He has outstanding presentations skills. Himanshu, on the other hand, is the creative wizard with impeccable communication skills. I did my part in marketing & sales as I am well aware of the ins and outs. I also have a way with words which was an added plus.

We were one of the 23 teams participating in the Reliance TUP 4.0 Grand Finale. I would consider the team from IIM Bangalore to be our toughest competitor. The joyous part was when the organizing team asked us to visit the podium and all of a sudden, a group of people came dancing and involved us with them. It was a fun experience for us.

The competition was well planned. The organizers made sure that the overall experience for all participants was a great one! The grand finale was held at Reliance Corporate Park, Navi Mumbai. Each day was a learning experience for us.
