Quizzes can be a very interesting method to engage students wholesomely in the act and simultaneously, enhance their knowledge. Since quizzes do not require months of focussed research, it can be an easy way to reach out to a plethora of students who always do not get an opportunity to participate in various B-school competitions like Case Studies, B-plan, etc. which happens on a much grander scale.

A quiz is one of the most versatile types of competition which can be applied to both academic and non-academic levels, so much so, even in academics, one can easily include questions from business or technology and other sectors to form a quiz of their preference. Reliance has realized this and has conducted a series of 9 Quizzes called Reliance’s Quiz-a-thon in the year 2017 on Unstop (formerly Dare2Compete).

This Online Quiz series was open to all B-school and Engineering students across the country. The participating candidates can form teams with a maximum of two members. Each theme-based quiz had 20 questions to be answered in 30 mins. View the rules for the competition here.

The competition spanned over four months starting on 5th Oct’17 and ending on 22nd Jan’18. The different themes for the quizzes were:

05th Oct'17: Technology and Business Quiz
16th Oct'17: Silicon Valley Quiz
30th Oct'17: Digital Technology Quiz
14th Nov'17: Brands & Campaigns Quiz
27th Nov'17: General Business Quiz
8th Dec'17: The Reliance Quiz - Related to Reliance Companies and Leaders
21st Dec'17: The Ultimate Pitch Quiz
8th Jan'18: Marketing Quiz
22nd Jan'18: E-Commerce & Digital Quiz

The teams from IIM Calcutta, ISB, XLRI Jamshedpur, IIM Indore, and many B-schools and Engineering colleges were declared winners. View the complete list of the winners here.

Gift vouchers of INR 20,000, INR 12,000, and INR 8,000 were given to the winning team, the first runner-up, and the second runner-up respectively. The vouchers were redeemable across Reliance Digital Stores.

As per the responses received on Dare2Compete Awards, Reliance’s Quiz-a-thon 2017 was favored by students of the B-schools as one of the top 20 Most Prestigious B-School Competitions of the Year 2018.
