TATA Business Leadership Award (TBLA) 2017 | B-school Track

If there is another prestigious thing after Indian Administrative Services (IAS), it is TAS (Tata Administrative Services). TAS is a program which trains novices to blossom their business and leadership potentialities.

The TAS program has a vibrant history behind it. It was established by one of the highly skilled visionaries that India has ever seen, Mr J.R.D Tata in 1956. However, the entry to the TAS program is as difficult as clearing the Civil Service Examination. The aspiring candidates have to win the TATA Business Leadership Award (TBLA), launched in 2002, to gain access to this prestigious course.

The objectives of TBLA are:

    • To strengthen the TAS and Tata group employer brand across premier business schools and group companies.
    • To identify talent by means of a compelling competition that is strongly aligned with the values and business challenges of the Tata group.
    • Engaging group leadership in selecting talent and enhancing the co-ownership for the process within the group companies.

TBLA is imbued with the virtues of creative thinking, business acumen, and entrepreneurial spirit to bring about a complete transformation in the Aspirant.

TBLA 2017 was open to both 1st and 2nd-year students pursuing MBA program from the following institutes-

IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, FMS Delhi, SPJIMR
TISS Mumbai, XLRI Jamshedpur

The interested students were asked to form teams of 3 members, all from the same campus including students of the foreign exchange programme.

Rounds of TBLA
