The Corporation has been partnering with communities in which it operates by supporting numerous initiatives connected with health, family welfare, education, environment protection, potable water, sanitation, empowerment of women and other marginalised groups.

IndianOil’s Net Zero Commitment

We are committed towards integrating sustainability initiatives into its business strategy. At IndianOil, we understand that value creation cannot happen in a vacuum. It is possible only through careful consideration of the relationship between the capitals that we use and the potential linkages between our strategic choices and actions that we undertake to deliver on our vision. In addition, our activities also contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) covering a range of multi-stakeholder goals that we aspire to achieve.

IndianOil has resolved to achieve net-zero operational emissions by the year 2046. IndianOil’s decarbonisation plans encompass both Scope 1 & 2 emissions. The year 2046 coincides with India completing 99 years of independence and the celebration of its 100th Independence Day. This historic declaration by the country’s energy major, aligns with India's net zero commitment by 2070 announced as part of the Panchamrit goals by the Hon'ble Prime Minister at the COP-26 Summit in 2021.
