Painstaking efforts, endless days of hard work, countless cups of coffee, scrapped ideas, and every possibility explored are just some of the things you had to do to grab an offer in the campus placements. We all know the value of getting placed in campus placements. Don't we?
Well, one of the even hardest things is the feeling of failure.

What if we tell you about someone who got rejected twice from campus placements and still made it to a prestigious organization with his unwavering determination? Well, maybe you will find it incredible.
Meet Sahin, the Chemical engineer
A native of Baduria, West Bengal, Sahin Hossain Molla had his fair share of struggles. During his 12th, while staying in Al-Ameen Mission, a group of students in his batch opted for special coaching for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or the WBJEE. But, he could not make it to the group because of his poor marks.
This did not deter him from becoming an engineer. He decided to pursue his dream of becoming an engineer and followed his coaching friends' class notes and mock test papers. All this time, the anxiety of making it into engineering was real every second. Luckily, WBJEE got postponed because of the election, and he could bag two months of extra time!
And these two months turned out to be fruitful! The guy who was not even selected for coaching, right after his 12th, without dropping any year, cracked WBJEE with category rank 22.
Eventually, he received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from one of India's top universities, none other than Jadavpur University.

However, during his campus placements, he failed to grab offers from the recruiters (not once but twice!). This came as no surprise because the cutoff for most companies was minimum first division, while he had a second class.
He decided to go the extra mile and work on his academics. Within six months, the six-pointer, second-division bachelor cracked GATE with AIR 450 (62.71/100, score: 758/1000) and received his M.Tech. Degree in Civil Engineering from India's one of the premier institutes, IIT Bombay!

And then came the big twist!
Despite all hard work, he was stuck in a rut. Why? Because, lockdown happened.
Apart from not making it to big companies in the placements, he got locked inside. (All thanks to Covid!) Tragically, all he was left with was just some pages of degrees and certificates.
No job, no money!
But he decided to walk alone through the storm. He chose to build his door of opportunity and start from scratch. On this, he said,
I trusted that every rejection was a redirection! I trusted that I deserved better! I trusted that one day all my suffering would be worth it!
And then finally, he was selected as an Officer in India's greatest Public Sector Organization! Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)!
