Preliminary Round
Corporate Round (Startup Specific Market Research)
Each team will be allotted a one of the 6 start-ups to work with over a period of 2 months.
Presentation Round
Each team will be delivering a final presentation showcasing the team’s contributions and future suggestions to the assigned start-up. Start-ups will evaluate this round on the basis of the entire journey showcase of each team. One team working under each start-up will be declared winner. There will be 6 winners declared all in all.

The Techniche Corporate Marketing Challenge Catalysis’T: An immersive competition designed to provide students with real-world corporate experience in product marketing. Teams will assume executive roles and work together to launch a product, focusing on market research, strategic planning, securing sponsorships, and executing marketing campaigns
Competition Structure: The event unfolds in three stages
Stage 1: Preliminary Round (20th May, 2025 - 10th June, 2025):
- Registered teams must submit a Market/Product Analysis Concept for any product of their choice
- Submission should include:
- Why the particular product was selected
- Market Strategy
- Information on the competitive landscape
- Comparison with at most 5 key competitors of the selected product along with new strategies to outperform them in the marketplace
- Value Proposition
- Revenue Model
- Risks and Challenges
- Conclusions and more
- Submission format: PDF exported presentation (deck) and a 5-10 mins pitch video
- Evaluation criteria: 70% deck, 30% pitch video
- In case of tie: creativity and reasoning will determine selection
- Around 30-40 teams will advance to the next round
- Complete problem statement will be released on 20th May, 2025
Stage 2: Startup Specific Market Research (16th June, 2025 - 23rd Aug, 2025):
- Each team will be allotted one of six start-ups to work with over a period of 2 months
- Week-wise breakdown of activities:
- Week 1: Understanding the Product, Market, and Competitors
- Week 2: Identifying Customer Pain Points and Needs
- Week 3: Refining Value Proposition and Product Analysis
- Week 4: Developing Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategies
- Week 5: Prototyping and Experimentation
- Week 6: Business Model Evaluation
- Week 7: Customer Acquisition and Retention Plan
- Week 8: Pitch Preparation and Final Refinements
- Weekly updates required by each team from their assigned startup
- Schedule is open to refinements by the startup founders
Stage 3: Showdown on Campus of IIT Guwahati (29th Aug, 2025 - 31st Aug, 2025):
- Each team will deliver a final presentation showcasing the team’s contributions and future suggestions to the assigned start-up.
- Start-ups will evaluate based on the entire journey showcase.
- Total of 6 winners
Eligibility and Team Rules:
- Students from any discipline across recognized colleges and universities in India.
- Teams must have three to six members.
- Participants from different colleges are allowed to form a team.
- A student can only be part of one team.
- No prior startup or intern affiliation with participating startups allowed.
- Violation of any rule leads to immediate disqualification.
Important Guidelines:
- Submissions violating format, deadline, or exceeding limits will be disqualified.
- Slide deck and pitch video must be original; plagiarism or AI-generated content is not allowed
- The decision of the organizers will be final and binding.
Rewards:
- One winning team per startup.
- Internship opportunities with respective startups for extraordinary performance.
- Prize money from the pool of ₹60,000.
- Goodies from respective start-ups.

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati
- Established in 1994, IIT Guwahati is the 6th member of the IIT fraternity.
- The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995.
- At present, the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science, and humanities disciplines, offering B.Tech, B.Des., MA, M.Des., M.Tech, MSc and Ph.D. programmes.
- Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati's campus is on a sprawling 704 acres (approximately) plot of land on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra around 20 kms from the heart of the city.
