All that you need to know about GreenTech Policy Challenge

GreenTech Policy Challenge is a flagship event under Tryst 2025. This competition challenges participants to design and enact policies in India that accelerate our country into clean, efficient, and equitable energy solutions, considering the current AI-dominated scenario.

Participants will analyze real-world energy challenges and propose AI-integrated policy solutionsthat can be implemented at a national or regional level. The competition encouragesinterdisciplinary approaches, drawing from public policy, AI & data science, energy economics,and sustainability studies.

Guidelines:

  • Team Size: 1-3 Members
  • Inter College teams not allowed.
  • Open to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.

Rules:

  • Prelims:
    • Participants submit pitch decks of 3 slides max (excluding greetings and appendix slides) introducing policy based on the problem statement.
    • Any information or research or study can be used, as long as it is from a reputable source, and have been cited properly. Credibility can and will be challenged by us, the judges and the co-participants.
  • Finals:
    • Nine Finalists will present their solution in Campus during Tryst 2025 -- the annual techfest of IIT Delhi.
    • Questions will be allowed from Judges, and Participants get limited time to question any citations.
    • Judges' and Organizers' decisions are final and binding.

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi

  • An autonomous statutory organization, IIT Delhi, is functioning in terms of the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 amended vide the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963 and the Statutes framed thereunder.

    8. To develop continuing education programmes for employed engineers and make them available both on campus and by distance learning techniques at off-campus locations.
    9. To anticipate the technological needs for India and plan and prepare to cater to them.
    10. To prepare instructional resource material in the conventional as well as the audio-visual; the video and the computer-based modes.
    11. To interact with the community at large to inculcate in our country women and men a feel for scientific thought and endeavor.
    12. To cater to the development of a culture for conservation and maintenance.
    13. To organize our study programmes to prepare manpower also for self-employment and for the unorganized sector.
