QS Rank Holder IIT Delhi’s M.Tech In Robotics | Apply By 30th March!
The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi is one of the most popular premier institutes in the nation. Every year countless students aspiring to pursue undergrad studies in engineering/ technology appear for GATE with the hopes of landing a spot in this university. And by securing the 48th spot in the QS World University Rankings 2023 (Engineering & Technology), IIT Delhi has further proven its mettle in the world of education and research.
The institute has recently launched an M.Tech. Programme in Robotics with 4 different specializations. The aim is to bridge the gap between a high number of job opportunities rising due to accelerated growth in the Robotics industry (both locally & globally) and the scarcity of trained professionals in the domain. IIT Delhi: M.Tech in Robotics
To begin with, this will be a two-year inter-disciplinary program being offered jointly by the:
- Department of Computer Science & Engineering
- Department of Mechanical Engineering
- Department of Electrical Engineering
- Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence
The demand for personnel skilled in Robotics technologies is steadily growing given the rapidly growing nature of the industry itself. Catering to the educational and training needs is even more critical since Robotics does not fall into any single traditional engineering discipline.
IIT Delhi has hence designed this program to provide students with a multidisciplinary curriculum. It will be heavy on experiential learning coupled with firm theoretical foundations. All those interested in the field of robotics must take note of the application & selection process listed below.
M.Tech in Robotics (IIT Delhi): Application & Selection
There are about 25 seats available in the program, the first batch for which will start in the 2023-24 academic year.
- Interested candidates must visit the official portal, and register with the university.
- They must then fill out the application form to the best of their knowledge.
- Note- the last date to apply for the program is March 30, 2023.
- Admission will be granted through the GATE (CS/ME/EE/EC/Aerospace/IN) score requirements.
- Those who fulfill the minimum GATE score requirement will have to appear for a programming test.
- Candidates shortlisted after the test will be called for an interview.
