Guidelines:
- A team should not have more than 5 participants.
- The team has to participate with only one car.
- Participants from one team are not allowed to be a part of the other team.
- A specialized track consists of jumps, rough and inclined terrain, sand pits, and tight turns designed for the race.
Event Format:
- Round 1: Race against time
- Round 2: Race between multiple cars
Round 1:
- Teams will compete to finish a designated lap of the track.
- Penalties will be imposed on teams on their lap time when deviate from the track.
- The cars will be awarded points based on the time taken by them to complete the race.
Round 2:
- The final winner will be declared based on the points secured by them in both rounds.
- Selected teams from Round 1 will compete in this stage at the same time.
Rules:
- The entire car must fit inside a box with dimensions of 550mm x 400mm x 350mm.
- No dc motor should be used for propelling the car.
- Only engine-operated vehicles are allowed.
- It is mandatory to fully cover the chassis, gearbox, etc., of the vehicle.
- The car must be controlled by a wireless remote-control system.
Note: To attend the event at IIT Madras, shaastra passport is mandatory, Every individual must apply for a passport on Shaastra website. Detailed procedures will be communicated to the participants before the event.
