Startup Expo Case Competition: Stages and Timelines
Online Assessment Round
In the first round, teams will participate in an online quiz conducted via the Unstop platform on September 11, 2025. The quiz will test participants’ fundamental business knowledge through multiple-choice and one-word answer questions. Teams have an 11-hour window from 12:00 to 23:00 to complete the quiz. The top 30 teams from this round will qualify for the second round.
Online Case Deck Submission Round
Teams that qualify from the quiz will move on to the second round, where they submit a comprehensive solution deck based on a given startup's challenges. The submission window opens after the quiz results are announced and will close at 23:59 on September 21, 2025. Teams must showcase their analytical skills and provide viable solutions in the deck to advance to the final round.

On Campus Final Round
In the final round, the remaining teams will work closely with an assigned startup to create a detailed pitch deck. Teams will be given one day (September 27, 2025) to prepare their decks. On September 28, 2025, each team will have 20-25 minutes to present their pitch to a panel of venture capitalists and judges. The presentation must highlight the startup’s challenges and propose innovative, feasible solutions.

Structure:
- Round 1 (Quiz): Sept 11, 2025 | Online on Unstop | MCQs & one-word answers | 12:00–23:00
- Round 2 (Deck Submission): Deadline Sept 12 - 21, 2025 | Teams submit decks analyzing a startup case.
- Round 3 (Finale): Sept 27-28, 2025 | Teams prepare a startup pitch deck on Sept 27 and present (20–25 mins) before VCs on Sept 28.
Judging Criteria:
- Creativity – 20% (novelty, innovative approach)
- Feasibility – 30% (practicality, market potential)
- Presentation – 25% (clarity, visuals, Q&A handling)
- Adaptability – 15% (use of mystery box, flexibility)
- Time Management – 10% (adherence to time limits)
Guidelines:
- Respect deadlines and professional conduct.
- Cheating/misrepresentation = disqualification.
- Teams unable to attend will be replaced by the next best qualifier.
- Final decisions rest with the Business & Consulting Club, IITD.

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi
