All that you need to know about Tech and Innovation Fair
Tech and Innovation Fair (TIF) is one of the flagship events of Shaastra 2025 that provides a platform for dedicated tech-based projects and prototypes to develop into a minimum viable product (MVP) through rigorous business and technical mentoring by experts in the industry.
TIF provides networking opportunities to selected teams with entrepreneurs, angel investors, and other experts in the field. The winning team gets a pre-incubation opportunity in the IIT Madras Incubation Cell. Through Tech and Innovation Fair, give wings to your dreams of turning an innovative project into a startup through dedicated mentorship from experts.
Guidelines:
- The Competition is open to all currently enrolled college students: Undergraduates from various programs, Postgraduates, and Ph.D. Research Scholars from any batches.
- Early-stage startups are also eligible for the competition.
- Teams should strictly have a hardware prototype while they are registering for the event. App-based startups and services are not eligible to apply for the event.
- The competition accepts new and early-stage ventures on the following conditions: the proposed tech solution should promise major innovation.

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras

- Prof. Humayun Kabir, Union Minister for Scientific Research & Cultural Affairs, formally inaugurated IIT Madras in 1959.
- It is a residential institute with nearly 550 faculty, 8000 students and 1250 administrative & supporting staff and is a self-contained campus located in a beautiful campus spanning 630 acres.
- The Institute has 16 academic departments and a few advanced research centres in various disciplines of engineering and pure sciences, with approximately 100 laboratories organized in a unique pattern of functioning.
