All that you need to know about Armageddon
Welcome to Armageddon!
In this electrifying event, creativity meets competition as top artists face off in a live painting showdown. Participants will race against the clock to transform blank canvases into masterpieces, using their brushes, paints, and imagination. This dynamic competition promises an unforgettable experience as talented creators vie for the champion title!
How to Participate:
- Eligibility: Open to all students with a valid college ID.
- Team Size: 4 to 6 members per team. Inter-college teams are allowed.
Event Guidelines:
- Prohibitions: Vulgarity and nudity are strictly prohibited. Any form of obscenity or unethical practices will result in disqualification.
- Judges' Verdict: The judges’ decisions are final and cannot be contested.
Rules of the Competition:
- Team Registration & Submission:
- Each team must consist of 4 to 6 members. Up to 3 additional members may assist with sound, lighting, and logistics.
- Submit a 10-minute video showcasing your live painting performance. The video should demonstrate creativity, technique, and teamwork.
- The painting must be centered around a cohesive theme, though it is open-themed.
- The submission must be an original piece created specifically for the competition. Reference images are allowed for inspiration, but the composition must be unique.
- Include a short description of the artwork with the video.
- Canvas Size: 16ft² to 30ft². Multiple canvases are allowed, but the total combined area must not exceed 30 square feet or be less than 16 square feet.
- Only sketching on canvas is allowed before recording the video. No paper, tape, or similar aids are permitted.
- Submission Deadline: September 21st, 11:59 PM IST.
- Ensure your submission includes all required components (video and description) to be considered valid.
- Selection for Prelims:
- Based on the submitted videos, 6 teams will be selected for the prelims.
- Selected teams will be notified via email.
- Prelims:
- Date: September 29th.
- Format: In-person live painting round at the IIT Delhi campus.
- Time Limit: 10 minutes per team to perform the same painting submitted in the video.
- Evaluation: Judges will assess creativity, technique, and overall performance.
- Advancement: The top 2 teams will move on to the finals.
- Canvas Provision: Canvases for the final round will be provided on the day of the prelims.
- Finals:
- Date: October 8th.
- Format: Live painting challenge with a 10-minute performance time limit.
- Theme: Open-themed but must be centered around a single, cohesive theme. The final painting must differ from the video submission.
- Canvas Provision: Canvases will be provided on the day of the prelims. Teams can bring their own materials if preferred.
- Materials Provided: A box of 8 acrylic paints, 6 brushes (size 12), and 2 brushes (2-inch size). Teams may bring additional materials if needed.
- Restrictions: No visible marks or use of paper, tape, or similar aids. Posters, sticky notes, and glitter paper are prohibited, but glue for loose glitter is allowed if teams bring their own.
- Canvas Size: 16ft² to 30ft².
- Judging Criteria: 40% performance and 60% painting. Within the painting score, 30% is for creativity and 30% for the final artwork.
Awards and Prizes:
- Finalists will receive attractive awards and prize money.

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi
- An autonomous statutory organization, IIT Delhi, is functioning in terms of the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 amended vide the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963 and the Statutes framed thereunder.
