All that you need to know about BGMI Gaming Tournament

Event Format:
- Prelims:
- The prelims will be organized in an online format.
- There will be 12 pools created of 25 teams each and the team captains will be added to the respective WhatsApp groups.
- Each round will be played on the classic map selected by the organizing team.
- Round 1: 300 teams will participate in an online BGMI event. The top 8 teams from each pool will qualify for the next round from each pool of 25 teams.
- Round 2: 96 teams will participate and 25 teams qualify for the finals. (Top 6 teams from each pool + 1 team which has the best score amongst all the 7th team of each pool).
- Scores will reset to 0 after each round.
- Semi-Finals And Finals:
- Semi-finals and Finals will be held offline at IIT Delhi
- 25 teams will participate in the semi-finals and the top 16 will qualify for the finals.
- The finals will consist of 2 rounds on 2 different maps and the team with best cumulative score combined with the semifinal score will win.
- For deciding the top 3 teams in the finals the following score system will be followed -
- 1st: +15 points
- 2nd: +12 points
- 3rd: +10 points
- 4th: +8 points
- 5th: +6 points
- 6th: +4 points
- 7th-10th: +2 points
- 10th-16th: +1 point
- 17th onwards: +0 point
- Kill: +1 point
- Tiebreakers: Preference will be given to the team with the maximum kills
Eligibility:
- Players must be a minimum of 16 years old at the time of competition.
- All players must have the latest version of BGMI installed on their device and all the classic maps should be downloaded.
- Players must have a BGMI account eligible for competitive games to compete. This same account must be used for all matches during the competition.
Team Management & Roster Rule:
- Each Team must maintain, at all times during any Official Competition, exactly four players plus one optional substitute.
- Each Team must designate one player as its captain when completing the online registration process.
- The Team Captain will be responsible for all Team communications with Tournament Officials.
- The Team Captain must at all times be a player on the Team’s roster.
- The Team name will be selected at the time of registration and may not be changed at any time during the Tournament without the prior written approval of the Tournament Officials.
- All Team names must be different and unique.
- The team name must not include any word or phrase that is offensive, toxic, or hurtful.
Acceptance of General Rules:
- All team members must accept the general applicable competition-specific rules to participate in the tournament.
Game Rules:
- All matches will be played under the Battle Royale game type.
- Directed Pause: Rendezvous officials may order the pause of a match or execute a pause command at any time for any reason, at their sole discretion.
Player Equipment: Players must participate in the event only on mobile phones.
Unfair Means:
- Any modification of the Battlegrounds Mobile India game client by any player, Team, or other Team Member is prohibited.
- Any cheating device, cheat program, or any similar cheating method such as signaling devices, etc. is strictly prohibited.
Important Notification:
- It is advised for team captains to keep an eye on their groups to avoid missing a match.
- All players are required to join the player lobby 10 min in advance before the game starts.
- The room ID and password will be notified to the team leader.
