गीत-ग़ज़ल: Hindi and Urdu Poetry Competition: Stages and Timelines
Submission Round (via D2C)
Participants have to submit their entry (Ghazal, Geet or लयबद्ध कविता) in the Devnagri script. Make sure the access to the files is public. The entry must have the written as well as the audio part.
Final Event
Shortlisted participants will perform live in front of the judges on the campus. Their entries will be judged on the basis of the content, structure and the presentation.

This is a Geet-Ghazal-Poetry Competition. This involves two steps - Writing and Reciting.
- Language - Hindi/Urdu
- Poetic Forms - Geet and Ghazal
- Submissions - Every Participant is required to submit their self-written geet or ghazal in Devanagri script as well as an audio file of the same person reciting their entry. The poem must be in rythm (लय/छंद/बह्र) for entry to be shortlisted for finals.
- Entries shortlisted for finals will have to be performed by the participant on the final day, in front of the judges.
- Time Limit - 5 minutes + 1 minute
- Judgement Criteria - Content, Structure and Presentation
- The participants may also choose to sing their geet or ghazal as they deem suitable, though it is not compulsory. The method of presentation is up to the participant.

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi
