Cummins is hiring for the role of Oracle ERP Product Owner!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Responsible for working with Agile Product Managers and other stakeholders across multiple cross-functional agile teams to drive the organization's mission, operations, structure, and goals. Streamlines the Product Backlog in support of business agility and product market trends while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the teams, and is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work in the product/agile team.
- Identify short and long-term business priorities using Lean-Agile Thinking as well as business expertise and representing the voice of the customer; entrepreneur for products; connect both strategic and tactical objectives working with Product Managers; define the archetypical users of products; articulate and prioritize personas and their problems so that appropriate products or solutions can be built.
- Seek out and interview customers for user experience feedback and market trends; illustrate market problems in a story that puts the problems in context.
- Agile expertise in Lean/Agile leadership; drives the vision and Program backlog; defines key performance indicators and objectives and key results (OKRs); heavily involved in program backlog refinement, preparation for Program Increment planning, and participation in planning events; owns team backlog and implementation; accountable for effective product backlog management.
- Lead Feature planning and prioritization for capabilities; applies Behavior Driven Development (BDD) to guide development, decrease rework, and increase flow; primary source for story detail and priorities in Iteration Planning, establishes story acceptance criteria.
- Technical expertise in understanding the scope of enabler work; collaborates with System and Solution Architect/Engineering to assist decisions and sequencing of technology enablers.
- Define and explicitly communicate the Product Goal; create, order, and communicate Product Backlog items apart from ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible, and understood.
- Define and drive iteration goals and iteration content via prioritized stories and Features; build, edit, and maintain the Team Backlog of user stories, defects, and enablers; primary responsibility for maintaining the flow of just-in-time story elaboration; accept user stories as done, including validation the story meets acceptance criteria, has appropriate acceptance tests, and complies with the Definition of Done (DoD).
- Participate in the Iteration Retrospective and the Inspect & Adapt workshop.
- Apply different approaches to convince others to change their opinion or plan, and win support from others for ideas; can build support with peers without direct lines of reporting across a matrix organization.
- Understand and work in line with the organization’s mission, operations, structure, and goals; understand informal structures and processes of the organization; understand organization-level implications of his or her day-to-day decisions
Requirements:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required

About Cummins India
Cummins’ story in India started when Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL) and Erstwhile Cummins Engine Company Inc. (CECO), U.S.A installed a joint venture with 50% holding by CECO, 25.50% by KOEL and 24.50% floated on the Bombay Stock Exchange. Eventually, in 1997, Cummins Inc. increased its stake in Kirloskar Cummins to 51%, and Kirloskar Oil Engines largely divested its stake, thereby incorporating Cummins India Ltd. with the other 49% stake drifted on the BSE.
Cummins India has a network of 22 dealerships, 120 dealership branch offices, and 3 Generator Original Equipment Manufacturers (GOEMs), to cater its products and services to the customers.

Mergers & Acquisitions
- Hydrogenics: Cummins Inc., on 28th June 2019 announced the acquisition of a fuel cell systems provider, Hydrogenics Corporation through a wholly-owned subsidiary for US$15.00 per share in cash representing an enterprise value of approximately $290 million.
- Efficient Drivetrains, Inc.: on 2nd July 2018, Cummins Inc., announced the acquisition of Silicon Valley-based designer and producer of hybrid and fully- electric power solutions, Efficient Drivetrains, Inc. (EDI) as a step to accelerate its electrification capabilities.
- Brammo: the battery pack/electric drivetrain manufacturer Brammo was acquired by Cummins Inc., in October 2017 to help bring its electric truck to market.
- Hilite International: in July 2012, Cummins inc. announced the acquisition of the emission control assets of Marktheidenfeld, Germany based, Hilite International, making them a part of Cummins Emission Solution (CES).
- Nelson Industries: a major, privately held supplier of air exhaust and emissions control systems, industrial silencers, and liquid filtration products, and electronic sound and vibration control technology, Nelson Industries Inc. was acquired by Cummins Inc in the year 1997 for consideration of $450 million.

- Tom Linebarger: the current Chairman and CEO of Cummins Inc., Tom Linebarger earned joint undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and in management engineering from Claremont McKenna College in the year 1986. He also earned an MS in manufacturing systems from the School of Engineering of Stanford University and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business in 1993.1
- Rich Freeland: the current President and COO of Cummins Inc., Rich Freeland oversees the company’s daily operations. He attended the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University and graduated as a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 1987 for his MBA.
- Mark Smith: the current Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cummins Inc., Mark Smith, joined Cummins in the year 1995. A Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Kent, Mark Smith is also an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
