Quiz on the Beach® (QoTB®) is Asia’s biggest on-campus quiz, conducted by T.A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal. The finale, at Malpe Beach, Manipal, is telecast at ET Now, and enjoys the viewership of over 2 lakh people. It is hosted by the noted Quizmaster Mr Giri ‘Pickbrain’ Balasubramanium, an avid quizzer himself. The winners take home cash prizes worth ₹10,00,000.
The 2019 edition kicks off with the Delhi and Bangalore City Qualifiers!

Rules & Eligibility : -

TAPMI QoTBTM is a Business Quiz and is open to full-time students from all disciplines.
-
The quiz is open to students from institutes that are affiliated to universities or are universities themselves.

The quiz is open to institutes that fall under the purview of AICTE or UGC or the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India and other institutes of repute.

It is NOT open to junior college/foundation students lower than the undergraduate category.
-
It is NOT open for teams from courses run by professional associations such as ICAI, ICSI etc. This list is merely indicative and NOT exhaustive.

Each team should consist of two participants only.

Both the participants in a team SHOULD belong to the same institute.

A participant can be part of one team only.

Individual participants are NOT allowed to take part.

An institute can send any number of teams to register for the quiz.

Team composition cannot be changed after the qualifying rounds are conducted.

There is NO ENTRY FEE

Once registered, organizers have the right to communicate with the teams, from time to time,any information regarding the quiz.

The organizers retain the right to make any changes to the event, its format, date, rules and in any matter related to this event, at any time before or in the course of the event.

The decision of the organizers and Quiz Master will be final and binding on all issues related to QoTB and no correspondence in this regard would be entertained.

The usage of cell phones, laptops, tablets or any electronic devices during the quiz is strictly prohibited. Any individual or team found using the same would be disqualified.

All participants are required to carry a valid college/institution photo ID to the venue without which participation will NOT be allowed.

By entering the event venue and/or participating in the quiz, the attendees permit themselves to be photographed/video-graphed/recorded by electronic and print mediums for telecast/publication and other display usage of the organizers.

Eatables are not allowed inside the venues where the city qualifiers are being conducted.

Disputes, if any, are subject to jurisdiction of Udupi district, Karnataka.
Process and Format : -
- City Qualifiers - Prelim rounds, followed by finals. (Aug-Oct 2018)
- Semi-Finals - Consisting of winners from each city. (January 2019)
- Finals - On the beach! (January 2019)
