435 students bag 481 offers at IIM Bangalore final placement 2021
IIM Bangalore final placement for the PGP batch of 2019-21 saw 100% placements with a total of 481 offers made by some of the big names in the industry to a total of 435 students. The two-day interview drive was conducted virtually amidst the covid scenario, where all the students got placed. The majority of offers were made in the consulting and IT sector, while project management and consulting remaining the most sought-after profiles.
Consulting sector leads in the IIM Bangalore final placement
The consulting companies offered the most number of offers during IIM Bangalore final placement this year. The top recruiters from the sector were Accenture with 45 offers and Bain & Company with 24.
Other prominent recruiters in the sector included Boston Consulting Group (13), Kearney (9), PricewaterhouseCoopers (10), Tata Consultancy Services (6), Alvarez and Marsal (4), Arthur D. Little (4), IBM Consulting (4), Strategy& (4), and EY-Parthenon (2). Other recruiters included KPMG (8), Ernst and Young (5), Deloitte (3), Auctus Advisors (2), Infosys Consulting (2), Miebach Consulting (1), and Oliver Wyman (1).
IT & Finance follow suit
IT giants like Microsoft and e-commerce companies such as Amazon and Flipkart also recruited many students during the IIM Bangalore final placement. The IT sector in total offered 78 offers, with Microsoft taking the lead with 12 offers. Other prominent recruiters were Browserstack (6), Ola (6), Byju’s (5). E-commerce companies also recruited big. The top recruiters were Amazon (34), Paytm (11), Flipkart (6), Myntra (3), and Cloudtail (1).
The finance domain following the lead made a total of 67 offers during the placements at IIM Bangalore. Some of the big banks, Goldman Sachs (22), Avendus Capital (5), Citibank (5), Blackstone (2), Deutsche Bank (2), and JP Morgan (1) recruited students.
Other top recruiters
The sales & marketing domain summed up a total of 50 offers. The top recruiters in the domain were Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (5), Procter and Gamble (5), Samsung (4), ITC (4), Anheuser-Busch InBev (2), Asian Paints (2), Lenovo (2), Pidilite (2), HUL (2), Coca-Cola (1), Colgate Palmolive (1), Johnson and Johnson (1), L’Oreal (1), and Wipro Consumer Care (1). 9 offers for operations roles were made to the students by Genpact (5), WNS Global services (3), and Natwest Group (1) during the placements at IIM Bangalore this year. For analytics, the number of offers remained at 10. American Express offered the most roles in the analytics sector with 6 offers, followed by EXL (2) and Target Corporation (2).
