AICTE in collaboration with Pupilfirst has launched a six-month free online internship called "CoronaSafe Engineering Fellowship" for engineering students. Through the national fellowship program, AICTE plans to recognize top 30 Indian students in software engineering for industry-led training to become full-stack developers and volunteer for national engineering leadership cadre.
The CoronaSafe Engineering Fellowship will commence from 1st April 2020. It has received funding from the Michael & Dell Foundation, the Wadhwani Foundation, the ACT Foundation, and FreshWorks support. The window to apply opens from 14th December 2020 to 5th January 2021, interested students may apply online. The list of participants selected will be released on 10th January 2021, and the on-boarding of the program will begin on 15th January 2021. You can check the official website for more details.
Who can apply for this free online internship?
For the internship, engineering students who are over 18 years of age and have written at least some code on either personal projects or college projects alone may apply.
Other details
The internship consists of 120 research and programming hours that will be carried out over 10 weekends. Students will also be introduced to "ask me about anything" sessions with industry leaders and upon successful completion of the course, will earn a certificate.
