The Accenture recruitment process and the recruitment test patterns are explained in detail in a step-by-step process as follows.
Pre-placement Talk
The Pre-placement presentation talk is the first step in the Accenture recruitment process. The HR gives a brief introduction about the company profile, the company policies, the roles of the freshers, and the package offered. The further assessment process is also explained by HR.
It is the best platform for the candidates to understand the company’s vision, the CTC offered and the role they will be joining. Candidates are encouraged to ask questions, if any, about the organization and clear every doubt about their role.
HR also explains the skills required for the job as well as the locations where the company operates so that the candidates are clear about the locations they can give as a preference while filling the forms which are generally distributed before the technical and HR round.
Cognitive and Technical Assessment
This is the first assessment round of Accenture recruitment. This is an elimination round and most of the students are eliminated in this round. The candidates will be given an assessment link along with the login credentials. The candidates are required to log in using the credentials to start the test.
The assessment is divided into two sections viz. Cognitive Ability section and Technical Assessment section.
The Cognitive Ability Section will assess the following abilities.
English Ability
The English ability section will consist of 17 questions. The questions will test the candidate’s command of English grammar. The English ability test will compromise
- Reading comprehension where the questions are based on the article or a story given in the test and the candidate has to answer based on their understanding of the article
- Grammar where the candidates are required to fill in the blanks with the correct choice of grammar, like tenses, direct-indirect speech, prepositions, articles, etc.
- Vocabulary, where the candidates are given a few words, and the candidates have to find the synonyms or antonyms of that word.
- Spotting the error where the candidate has to select the sentence that is wrong from the given options.
Analytical Reasoning
The analytical reasoning will test the candidate’s deductive logical thinking. The test will include certain patterns and the candidate has to find the missing pattern from the four options. The tests will also include questions based on a flowchart and the candidates have to answer correctly as per their comprehension of the flowchart. The candidate’s logical reasoning will be tested in this section. Decoding the encryption to answer the question or finding missing numbers are a few of the question patterns for analytical reasoning.
Numerical Ability
The numerical ability will test the basic mathematics of the candidate. The problems will be on basic mathematics like percentage calculation, distance-velocity calculation, work-days calculation, profit, loss, etc. Finding missing numbers based on the pattern provided also comes under this section. Simple algebra, averaging, statistics, etc. are also part of this section.
Technical Assessment Section will consist of the following tests:
Common Application and MS Office
There will be 12 questions based on the common applications and MS office. The assessment will test the candidate’s practical knowledge and experience of computers. The questions will be basic and not advanced. The candidates will be asked about excel formulae, MS word, MS presentations as well as general computer terminology.
Pseudo Code

The login details to participate in this assessment will also be mailed to the candidate.
The communication skills test will be a verbal test that will assess the candidate’s following skills.
Sentence Mastery
The candidate’s skill to use sentences is assessed. The proper use of tenses, voices, and prepositions are all accessed. The candidates are assessed based on how they frame the sentence, and how short and crisp sentences they can form to put their point forward.
Vocabulary
Effective use of words and how they fit in a sentence are checked in this section.
Fluency
The candidate’s comfort while speaking the English language is assessed. When the candidates use fillers during speaking, that is also noticed. The candidates are also judged on how they bridge sentences fluently.
Pronunciation
Plenty of candidates have a strong accent in their mother tongue. So, the proper pronunciation of the English words is assessed. The pronunciation of a few words varies from state to state due to the regional language effect. Candidates are required to work on the same.
The response time for this round is 20 mins. Communication skills are one of the major business drivers and hence this round though is not an elimination round but the assessment of this round will be considered for the final interview process.
Accenture Interview Process
The interview process is the final round of the Accenture off-campus drive. The interview process is divided into two rounds, viz. Technical Interview and HR interview. The interview rounds are to assess the candidate’s technical know-how as well as the candidate’s body language and attitude. The candidates will then be given a chance to select the time slot for the final interview round. The candidate will attend the technical and HR round and the final selection will be announced through mail or SMS. So, generally, the Accenture off-campus drive lasts for at least two days.
Accenture Off-campus Drive Difficulty
The eligibility criterion for the Accenture off-campus drive is engineering graduate or post-graduate from any field. As such, the candidates belonging to non-IT or non-Computer Engineering can also apply for the recruitment process.
According to the assessment pattern, there will be two sections in round one of cognitive and technical assessment which will test the candidate’s basic knowledge about coding and fundamentals of networking, security, and cloud. Also, the second round is the coding assessment. During previous years, the candidates attempting the second round of coding were eligible for the next round. But this year onwards, the coding assessment will also be an elimination round.
Hence, the candidates belonging to the streams from non-IT and non-Computer Engineering will find it difficult to answer these questions if they have not worked on even one object-oriented language. Hence, it is recommended that the candidates get themselves familiarized with the programming languages and also increase their knowledge about networking, security, and the cloud.
The Accenture off-campus drive will have only basic-level questions about coding and networking. Hence, candidates with basic fundamental knowledge can crack the assessment easily. The candidates are also advised to practice one object-oriented language so that they can clear the second round of coding.
Key Points to Remember
After clearing the assessment of the Accenture off-campus drive, the candidates are required to submit the original documents for verification. The candidates are also asked to go for medical check-ups before joining the company.
