The All India Council For Technical Education, AICTE, has launched a free digital skilling platform to empower the Indian workforce. It has joined hands with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and the Ministry of Education (MoE) for this joint initiative.

They aim to upskill one crore students by giving them access to free courses from biggies like MIT, Stanford, IBM, Microsoft, etc. The courses will span various digital technologies. Let's have a look at why the AICTE has taken such an initiative and how you can get access to this opportunity.

AITCE Technology For Every Indian Student Campaign

The demand for a workforce skilled in new-age technologies is growing at an unprecedented rate. There however exists a gap between this demand and supply, which the AITCE aims to close through this initiative. The end goal is to make India the ‘Technology Capital of the World’.

The main idea behind building the platform is to skill, reskill, and upskill Indian youth and young professionals. The council has identified 30 emerging technologies that are expected to grow at a high rate, to focus on. They have also joined hands with multiple big companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon Web Services to provide internship and employment opportunities to students.

How To Access AICTE Digital Skilling Platform

Getting access to and learning from AICTE's digital skilling platform is extremely easy. All students have to do is enroll at the official portal and begin their upskill journey.

The platform offers courses ranging from 3-6 months in duration, catering to graduates, professionals, undergraduates, and school students (7th to 12th grade). The courses span across fields like:
