AICTE Internship 2022: 20,000 Openings For Cybersecurity Internship In Collaboration With Cisco
The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) teamed up with the American IT firm Cisco to roll out 20,000 virtual internships in the field of Cybersecurity. NASSCOM FutureSkills PRIME is also a part of this initiative which hopes to transform India into a digital talent hub.
With the whole aim to prioritize skilling as the national goal, the AICTE internship program is open exclusively for engineering students in their second and third years.

AICTE Internship 2022: Who can apply?
Candidates who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply.
- Are from B.Tech./ B.E.
- Are available for a duration of 2 Months.
- Have relevant skills and interests.
Note: 2nd and 3rd year engineering students studying in any engineering institution which is Cisco Networking Academy can participate in this program.

AICTE Virtual Internship 2022: Internship Process
Students interested in the AICTE internship have to follow the steps below during the course of their internship:
Step 1: Students have to complete Introduction to Cyber Security, Introduction to Packet Tracer, and Cyber Security Essentials courses via the Cybersecurity internship pathway at the NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime portal. They can also contact the NetAcad instructors at their institution or simply via the FutureSkills PRIME portal.
Step 2: Once students complete the courses specified for the AICTE internship, they will have to submit a certificate of completion on the official website. Once the certificates are verified and approved, the selected students will receive a link to create an account in April 2022, and after that, they will be invited for a 3-hour industry session hosted by Cisco.
Step 3: Post-industry session, students will work under the guidance of the faculty coordinator at their institution for designing a secure network for their institutions on the Packet Tracer Simulation tool.
Step 4: Once the project work is finished and submitted, students will have to appear for a final quiz.
After the completion of two months, eligible students will get a virtual AICTE internship certificate.
