Cognizant Jobs 2022; Openings In India For Freshers, Experienced Professionals, and Executives

Earlier this year, American IT firm Cognizant announced plans to hire 55,000 new freshers in India along with several other lateral hirings. The first phase of the process has already started with the tech firm advertising multiple job openings on its official website.

Currently, the company has a total employee count of 3,30,600, out of which the majority are based in India.

"The hiring of 50,000 freshers is one of the highest number ever of the company," Rajesh Nambiar, the president of Cognizant India said.

Unlike in the past when the company focused more on lateral hires, with the need to get more employees on board, it has also increased the number of fresher additions to the company," he added.

According to the advertisements on the official website of Cognizant, there are multiple openings across all the major metro cities in India. The range of experience for the Cognizant job openings starts as low as zero and goes up to eighteen to twenty years.

Candidates starting a fresh Cognizant career will also have the option to work in a hybrid model if no client site is assigned to them. Under the hybrid model, employees will work from the office for three days, and two days from anywhere they work best.

Compared to TCS and Infosys, Cognizant has had a higher attrition rate over the years. However, in the fourth quarter of FY21, the company's attrition rate has come down to 28%.
