Every person goes through a struggling phase. We learn a lot during this phase, encounter new people, do different jobs, face disappointment, and whatnot. Here is an inspiring story of Shaik Abdul Sathar, a delivery boy who became a software professional!
Not hesitant to work hard
It wasn’t a cakewalk for Abdul. Before his hard work bore fruit, he used to conduct deliveries on behalf of food-delivery services such as Uber, Zomato, and Swiggy. He did everything, from delivering food for Zomato and Swiggy to driving cars for Ola and Uber and even offering rides for Rapido.
“I wanted to contribute financially as soon as I could. Because my father is a contract worker. So we only had just enough money to get by. I was very shy initially, but by being a delivery boy I learned many things.” Abdul expresses in his LinkedIn post.
He wasn’t hesitant to work hard and wanted to provide for his family alongside his father.
A friend’s suggestion changed his life
One day, one of Abdul’s friends suggested he learn to code. And that’s what changed his game. Doing deliveries from 6 pm to 12 am, he spent whatever time he got in the morning learning the basics of coding language and coding.
Due to his capacity to learn things quickly, he was soon capable of building web applications. He made a few projects and started applying to various companies.

Abdul’s hard work and determination finally bore fruit
Abdul’s experience as a delivery boy prepared him for the job interviews. Due to the nature of his work, he had excellent communication skills which was a plus point for his journey ahead. He finally got placed in Probe Information Services Pvt Ltd as a Software Engineer.
Elated and satisfied with his achievement, Abdul says,
“From a place where I had to be careful about every rupee, I came to a stage where I can clear my parent's debts with a few months' salaries.”
Our best wishes to Shaik Abdul for his journey ahead.
