DRDO Recruitment 2023 (ARDE): 75 Apprentice Vacancies For Engineers 

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is inviting applications for apprenticeship training for its laboratory, the Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE). Per the DRDO Recruitment 2023 notification, 75 vacancies are available for degree and diploma holders. 

Please note: The last date to apply is May 30, 2023.

Located in Pune, the ARDE focuses on the development of conventional armaments for the Indian Armed Forces. It’s involved in both, the design and development of armaments. Established in 1958, ​​the laboratory employs as many as 1700 scientists, officers, and staff members. 

Per the DRDO Recruitment 2023 notification, vacancies have been announced for the following disciplines for graduate and diploma apprenticeship: 

Graduate Apprenticeship (50 Vacancies)

Diploma Apprenticeship (25 Vacancies)

DRDO Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying for the apprenticeship training should meet the following eligibility criteria:

Note: As per the DRDO Recruitment 2023 notification, candidates who’ve already completed apprenticeship training at one place or have one year of experience are not eligible to apply. 

DRDO Recruitment 2023: Salary

Under the DRDO apprenticeship training program, selected candidates will be employed for a period of 12 months or one year. A Certificate of Proficiency will be issued to pass candidates after 12 months from the date of execution of the contract.

DRDO Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

Listed below is the detailed selection process for both, graduate and diploma apprentices: 

• Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination of their respective disciplines.  
• Shortlisted candidates will need to take a written examination. The examination will be conducted in the first week of June 2023 in Pune. 
• The written examination will be an offline examination, comprising general reasoning, English, Mathematics & subject-related questions. 
• Candidates selected on the basis of the written examination need to undergo a medical examination and police verification. 
• Only candidates who clear the medical examination and police verification will be engaged for apprenticeship training. 

DRDO Recruitment 2023: Application Process

Under the DRDO Recruitment 2023, applications for the apprenticeship training opened on May 20, 2023. Interested candidates need to apply online by May 30, 2023. Please find below the application process: 

• Students need to first enroll on the National Web Portal. 
• Enroll for Graduate or Diploma on www.mhrdnats.gov.in and complete the application form 
• Each student will receive a unique enrolment number
• Please note: Please wait for at least one day for enrollment verification and approval. 
• Once the enrolment number is generated and verified, login and click on the Establishment Request Menu.
• Click on Find Establishment and Upload Resume and other supporting documents. 
• Choose Establishment name 
• Type "ARMAMENT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ESTABLISHMENT" or “WMHPUC000042” and search 
• Click Apply

Please note: It’s mandatory to submit the following documents/information online along with the  application: 

(i) Diploma/Degree certificate and marksheet 

(ii) High school/equivalent certificate and marksheet 

(iii) PwD certificate (if applicable) 

(iv) Recent passport-size photograph 

(v) Aadhar card  

(vi) PAN Card
