As per the notification for the TATA Steel Aspiring Engineer Program 2023, the position is open for both graduate and postgraduate students and diploma-holders who shifted to engineering.

Candidates applying for the post need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Should have completed or be a final year student of B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in the following disciplines:

Ceramic
Chemical
Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/ Power Electronics
Environmental Engineering
Mechanical
Metallurgy
Mineral
Mining
Beneficiation Engg
Production Engineering
Industrial Engineering
Mechatronics
Geoinformatics

Should have completed or be a final year student M.Tech/M.Sc in the following disciplines:

Geology
Geophysics
Remote Sensing
GIS

Candidates who completed a three-year diploma to directly join in the second year of engineering and are currently in the final year

General: 6.5 CGPA or 65%

Transgender/PwD/SC/ST: 6.0 CGPA or 60%

Please note:

As per the notification for the TATA Steel Aspiring Engineer Program 2023, preference will be given to candidates belonging to Jharkhand or Odisha.

TATA Steel Aspiring Engineer Program 2023: Selection Process and Salary

All eligible candidates will need to undertake an online cognitive and technical test. On the basis of these tests, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. This interview may take place virtually, or in-person.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of INR 30,000 for the duration of the training period i.e. 1 year.

Engineers will also be covered under a medi-claim scheme. This includes annual hospitalization coverage of INR 2,50,000 and OPD coverage of INR 6,000 but only for the employees.

Trainees who successfully complete one year’s training period and are appointed Assistant Managers will receive an annual CTC of INR 7 lakh.
