Delhi University’s decision to postpone the online OBE for final year students comes days after major speculation surrounding their cancellation. On Saturday, a notification was released regarding DU exams 2020, which stated that the exams will now be held from July 10th as opposed to the previous date of July 1st.
As per the official notification, a new date sheet will be released on July 3, and a schedule for mock tests has been made available for the same. The guidelines for the OBE remain unchanged. Prior to this decision, the Union HRD Minister, Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal also emphasized the importance of examinations for the final year students.
This decision regarding DU exams 2020 has not been welcome by either the students of Delhi University or the DUTA (Delhi University Teachers Association). The notification also pertains to ex-students as well as the final year students of School of Open Learning (SOL) and the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB).
The uncertainty amidst the graduating class of 2020 in DU has barely seen any rest since the lockdown commenced. Pleas regarding the DU exams 2020 have been moved more than once in the Delhi High Court. A major concern has been expressed over the internet infrastructure of the university.
A notification was also released earlier today regarding the mock exam schedule and guidelines for the students. You can receive more information on their website.
