Google India Girl Hackathon 2022: Apply Before March 9; Check Deadline, Eligibility & Other Details

Google India has invited female coders to register for the Girl Hackathon 2022. Women students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in Computer Science or related circuit branches are eligible to apply for the hackathon. The program will begin on March 19th, 2022, and will continue till April 30, 2022.

Eligibility Criteria For Girl Hackathon 2022

• Google Girl Hackathon 2022 is open to all female students pursuing UG/PG/Integrated UG-PG degrees in Computer Science or allied branches. 
• Interested candidates need to register as teams of three students with the name of the ‘team leader’ declared in advance.
• It is important for all the team members to be from the same campus. Teams with students from other campuses will be considered only random selection is permitted (final decision will be made by Google on a need basis).
• The team leader is supposed to register on behalf of the entire team along with the email id of the other members.

Girl Hackathon 2022: Category Of Applicants

The candidates will be categorized into two groups, according to their year of graduation. The details of the team division in the Google Hackathon have been provided in the table below.

Girl Hackathon 2022: Program Structure

Google India Girl Hackathon 2022 will take place in three rounds - Round 1, Round 2, and the Final Round. The details of the event itinerary have been summarized in the table below. 

Round 1 (March 19 to March 24)

• Round 1 will consist of Google Online Challenge 2022 - A coding challenge that will assess a candidate’s skills in coding and puzzles.
• The results of the Google Online Challenge will be announced on 24th March 2022.
• Only the candidates who qualify in the Google Online Challenge (Round 1) will move to Round 2 of the Google Hackthon.

Round 2 (March 24 to April 7)

• Round 2 will be a design document round that will have a tech-based theme or challenge. The theme for this year’s design document round will be - ‘Future Of Learning’.
• Candidates who qualify in the GOC will receive a design document sample on March 24, 2022. Candidates should make a copy of the document and use it to make the final pitch.
• The document will be shared on 24 March 2022 and the last date to send the submissions on 7 April 2022.
• The final results of Round 2 will be announced on April 13, 2022.

Round 3 (April 27)

• Round 3 will be the final round and the candidates will have to present the final solutions to a panel of judges.
• Candidates will have to submit the code repository of their project by April 22 but the presentation will happen 4 days later on 27th April 2022. The final results of the Google Hackathon will also be announced on this day.
