PSU Exams

PSU, also known as Public Sector Undertakings, refers to corporations that are owned by the Government of India. Each PSU has different requirements in terms of age, qualifications, and salary. Entry to some PSUs requires good marks in UGC NET. Some of the best PSUs in India are BHEL, BPCL, CIL, GAIL, HPCL, IOCL, etc.

Post: Management Trainee

Age Limit: 21-30 years

Salary- INR 50,000 - 1,80,000 per month

Selection Process - General Aptitude & Reasoning, Group Discussion, Interview

Assistant Professor Exams

To become a professor in any institution in India, you have to take certain exams. The base qualification is having at least 55% marks in a master's course. Along with this, a candidate must also succeed in the UGC NET for all-India posts and SLET for state-level posts. Each of these needs to be applied individually.

Post - Assistant Professor

Age - No age limit

Salary - 29,000 – 76,000 INR per month

Selection Process - Written Test, Interview

SSC CGL

Organized by the Staff Selection Commission, it is held to recruit staff under various departments under the Government of India. The basic requirement is to have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline and the exam has separate cutoff marks for each tier.

Post - Various Grade Level Roles

Age Limit - 18-32 years

Salary- INR 25,500 – 81,100 per month

Selection Process - Written Test, Interviews, Skill Tests

Indian Civil Services 

These examinations are possibly the most widely known and reputed exams in the Indian subcontinent. The exams are highly competitive and only exceptional individuals can shine through. It offers a total of 6 attempts (general category) and on clearing, the selected candidates will be appointed to various roles across the country. To apply for it, candidates must hold a master’s degree in any discipline.

Post - Various governmental departments

Age Limit - 21-32 years

Salary- INR 56,100 – 2,50,400 per month

Selection Process - Written Test, Interview

Government Bank Exams

These are one of the common exams attempted by MBA graduates. This opens up an array of possibilities for many bank-related jobs in India. Some of the popular exams are SBI PO, IBPS PO, SBI Clerk, IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB, RBI Grade B, IBPS SO, etc.

Post - PO, Marketing Officer

Age Limit - 18-30 years

Salary- INR 23,700 - 50,000 INR per month

Selection Process - Written Test, Interview

Remember that government job-related exams are always a tough nut to crack.
