My project mainly centered around studying the factors affecting the movement of Government Bond Yields and Interest Rates in India. The extent of my role gave me enough scope to explore the world of Finance more closely. The most interesting aspect of my internship was that I could see the world of theory and practicality merge in front of my eyes.
What did I learn from my internship at Shree Cement Limited?
Given the domain of my role, I got a chance to work on my core skills of Public Policy Design, Financial Statement Analysis, Government Budget Analysis, Portfolio Management, and Risk Management. The major highlight was an in-depth exploration of the field of Finance. I also got hands-on experience in the dynamics of the corporate culture which was quite beneficial. Overall, my internship at Shree Cement Limited turned out to be much more productive than what I had expected.
What is the work culture at Shree Cement Limited?
To attend my internship, I moved to Beawar and it was a completely different experience. The plant is located on the outskirts of the city and has minimal life outside the company establishment. Initially, I found it a bit difficult to adapt to the new surroundings but everything became fine within a week. Our first team outing was to Ajmer and Pushkar. We went for a long drive and visited many holy places. This session allowed all the new joiners to gel with each other and become comfortable in the new surroundings.
Mesmerized by the commendable work culture of Shree Cement Limited, I would definitely love to work there. The company’s traditional methods of conducting business are overpowered by its advancement in the fields of sustainability, HR, and employee welfare. It is the perfect place to work for an MBA graduate.
