IIM Jammu joins the league by launching Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for the 2021-2026 batch

IIM Jammu will offer an Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) from 2021 onwards. The batch size for the same is likely to be around 60. The merit list for the final selection for its IPM program will be prepared on the basis of the JIPMAT 2021 score, academic profile, and gender diversity.

What is the Integrated Programme in Management?

The aim of the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is to integrate management education with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The IPM program aims to prepare young professionals to start their careers at any point in time by exiting from the program. It will provide an opportunity for students to pursue management education right after completing their class 12th. 

The selection process and eligibility criteria of IPM  

The selection process of IIM Jammu for its Integrated Programme in Management consists of:

1. Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
2. Class 10th and 12th marks.
3. And a merit list based on JIPMAT Score, academic profile, and gender diversity.

The candidates satisfying the following criteria will be eligible to apply for the Integrated Programme in Management at IIM Jammu:

1. Candidates should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2019, 2020, or appearing in 2021. The candidate must have passed Standard X/ SSC or equivalent examination in the year  2017 or later.
2. The candidate should have a minimum of 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations (55% for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category). Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of July 31st, 2021 can also apply.
3. Applicants pursuing their XII standard from international schools affiliated to foreign boards like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.

Course structure of the IPM program at IIM Jammu

Some important points regarding the course structure of the Integrated Programme in Management at IIM Jammu are as follows:

1. The duration of the IPM Program is five years, where the first three years of the IPM program would be based on the semester system and the last two years would be based on the trimester system (as per the prevailing MBA course structure). 
2. At the end of 1st year, students will undertake Boot Camp at Ladakh. 
3. In the 2nd Year, students will complete a Social and Corporate internship. 
4. During the 3rd year, the students will enroll in an international exchange program with one of the partner institutions based on merit and course norms. 
5. Additionally, in the 3rd Year of the program, students will have the option to select a sector-specific specialization. 
6. The course structure after the sixth semester will be merged with the flagship MBA program of the Institute and students will be required to meet the academic rigor of the MBA program.

Fee structure

In addition to the above, mess charges will be informed at the start of the academic year. Accommodation would be arranged on a sharing basis for the first three years of IPM. Single room accommodation would be provided for the fourth and fifth years of the Programme, if available. In the first year, there will be a Boot Camp which will happen in Ladakh. The fees for the Boot Camp will be as per actual cost and will be announced at a later date.
