IIM Rohtak Placements 2021: Records 100% Achievers with Rise in New Recruiters

IIM Rohtak placement drive successfully concluded for 2019-21 batch. The institute achieved 100% placements in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic that adversely affected various industries and jobs. This year the participation of new companies in IIM Rohtak placements increased by a whopping 75%.

Some important details of IIM Rohtak placements 2021 are as follows:

1. The 70+ new recruiters included firms such as Xiaomi, GamaSec, Diaspark, Phable, Genpact, ZS Associates and Mindtree
2. Other recruiters who continued recruiting included firms such as Indus Valley Partners, Deloitte, Tata Steel, Bain Capability Networks, NatWest Group, Capgemini and Cognizant
3. This year a good number of Pre-Placement Offers(PPOs) were also given to students by various recruiters
4. The most sought after domains were Analytics, Sales & Marketing and General Management

Some important details of IIM Rohtak 2019-21 Batch profile are as follows:

1. The current Batch Strength was 243
2. The batch was academically diverse with 59% students from Engineering background, 26% from commerce background, 9% from science background and 6% from Arts background.
3. 50% of the batch constituted of Freshers and the rest 50% students had less than 1 year to more than 3 years of work experience
4. 44.3% students had work experience in the Information Technology sector, 17.9% in Analytics, 13.2% in Sales & Marketing, 9.4% in Consultancy, 8.5% in Finance, 6.6% in operations

Prof Dheeraj Sharma, Director IIM Rohtak said that “The year 2020-21 was full of uncertainties but our student placement committee worked hard and received strong facilitation from the institute. The efforts of the placement committee resulted in excellent outcomes even in the COVID situation that the world is dealing with”.

It was the time of the pandemic, it was a time of uncertainty, and yet it was the time of new possibilities, a time to reimagine and carve a future for ourselves. Despite the hard times, our students managed to complete the placement process on time”.
