IIM Sambalpur Records 100% Placement With Highest CTC Of INR 41 LPA

Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur has recently concluded the final placements for the 2022 batch with remarkable success. The Odisha-based institute saw the participation of more than 100 recruiters across different sectors in the placement process, including several international recruiters. The highest domestic CTC stood at INR 30 LPA, while the highest international CTC went as high as INR 41 LPA.

The average CTC of the batch also witnessed a 12.68% rise, going up to INR 12.64 LPA. IT & Analytics, BFSI/NBFC, and Engineering and Manufacturing were the recruiting sectors that rolled out the maximum number of offers. 

IIM Sambalpur Placement 2022 Highlights

• Among the 100 companies participating in the IIM Sambalpur placement drive, 50 were first-time recruiters.
• A total of 219 roles were offered across different sectors and functional domains.
• The average CTC of the top 50% of the batch stood at INR 15.19 LPA, while the average of the top 25% was INR 17.11 LPA.
• The highest CTC rose by 24.71 % and not a single student opted out from the offers.
• The total batch size was 156, out of which 91 were male candidates and 65 were female candidates.

IIM Sambalpur Placements: Domain-wise performance

Out of the 156 students, 46.8% took up roles in the IT & Systems domain. General management came second with 17.3% of students taking up offers in this sector. Close behind General Management was Consulting which clocked at 16% of the entire batch. On the other hand, Operations and Supply Chain Management scored 3.2% each.

IIM Sambalpur Placements: Batch Profile

72.4% of the students in the 2022 batch came from engineering backgrounds, making this batch less diverse. Only about 12 % of students had a Commerce background, while 6.4% came with a BSc/BCA degree. BBA & BA had 3.2% each and the remaining 1.9% came with a mixed academic background.

When it comes to work experience, 50% of the batch had work experience of 0 - 12 months. Clearly, a significant portion of the students was fresher’s this year, while only 10% had work experience of 3 years and above.
