The Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE) at IIT Madras is now inviting applications for its executive education program. The IIT Madras Executive Education Program 2023 includes five courses, lasting anywhere from 4 to 9 months. Not all of these courses require a degree in engineering.
IIT Madras is one of India’s eight public Institutes of Eminence. Located in Chennai, the 64-year-old institution is known for its quality of education and focus on excellence.
Traditionally, IITs, including IIT Madras, have conducted such programs in person. However, they are now being conducted online so as to reach learners across the country and offer them the flexibility they desire.

- Construction Technology and Management
- Additive Manufacturing Technologies for Practicing Engineers
- Operations and Supply Chain Analytics for Strategic Decision Making
- eMobility and Electric Vehicle Engineering – Cohort 3

This program is completely ONLINE and consists of 2 courses. Course 1: Comprises 39 hours of recorded videos and 12 online live interactive sessions with the faculty. Course 2: Comprises 33 hours of recorded videos and 11 online live interactive sessions with the faculty. |
Construction Technology and Management |
6 months (Jul’23 - Dec’23) |
This course comprises 126 hours of recorded videos and 42 hours of ONLINE interactive sessions with the faculty. |
Additive Manufacturing Technologies for Practicing Engineers |
6 months (Jul’23 - Dec’23) |
This course comprises 72 hours of recorded videos and 24 hours of ONLINE interactive sessions with the faculty. |
Operations and Supply Chain Analytics for Strategic Decision Making |
6 months (Jul’23 - Dec’23) |
This course comprises 120 hours of recorded videos and 24 hours of ONLINE interactive sessions with the faculty. |
eMobility and Electric Vehicle Engineering – Cohort 3 |
6 months (Jul’23 - Dec’23) |
This course comprises 120 hours of recorded videos and 40 hours of ONLINE interactive sessions with the faculty. |
Note: The courses will be taught by multiple faculty members. Certification of successful completion will be provided to participants, subject to 75-100% attendance in three categories (assignments, quizzes, and attendance of live sessions).
Executive Education Program 2023: Eligibility Criteria
A degree in engineering is not required to apply for all the courses. Please find below the eligibility criteria for each course:

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, applied sciences, or basic sciences with at least 3 years of working experience. |
Operations and Supply Chain Analytics for Strategic Decision Making |
No prerequisites but a basic understanding of the mathematical and statistical concepts is expected |
eMobility and Electric Vehicle Engineering – Cohort 3 |
Bachelor’s degree in an allied Engineering or Science domain (B.Tech, B.E, B.Sc, etc.) |

The last date to register for the five aforementioned courses is June 20, 2023. Interested candidates can select the course they wish to study under the IIT Madras Executive Education Program 2023 here. Once selected, candidates have to pay their respective course fees online.
