IIT Palakkad Launches Free 12-Week Artificial Intelligence Course, Enroll Now!

IIT Palakkad is one of the five new IITs established under the Union Budget of 2014. Also known as IIT-PKD, the institute has been expanding the number of degrees and courses it offers. In 2015, it offered only B.Tech and MS programs, then introduced M.Tech, M.Sc, and Ph.D. programs in 2019. The institute presently offers 20 courses in 8 different streams.  And now they have launched a free 12-week online course in artificial intelligence.

IIT Palakkad Artificial Intelligence Course: Basic Details

IIT PKD has recently launched a free course in artificial intelligence and is inviting applications for the same. The course is called Applied Accelerated Artificial Intelligence. The duration of the course is 12 weeks and is available online only via the National Programme and Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL). 

The course will cover the fundamentals of system software and computable capabilities needed for the implementation of AI-based solutions in industrial use cases. It also carries 3 credit points as it is an AICTE approved FDP course. 

Who Can Apply For The IIT PKD Applied Accelerated Artificial Intelligence Course

• Ph.D. Scholars from any Science or Engineering stream.
• Post-graduate students from Science or Engineering streams
• 3rd/4th-year undergraduate students from any Engineering stream.
• Non-students and working professionals

Note that it is preferable if applicants possess prior knowledge of computer organization, high-performance computing, machine learning, and deep learning. 

How To Apply For IIT PKD Applied Accelerated Artificial Intelligence Course

• Register at the official SWAYAM portal.
• Fill in the application and enroll in the online course.
• Note that the course is free to enroll in, but those who wish to get a certificate at the end will have to appear for a proctored exam. The examination fee for this will be INR 1000.
• Also, only those who attain the minimum required score in assignments and the exam will be issued an e-certificate at the end.
