Internship at TATA Motors Limited taught me how to develop effective sales techniques? | Gyan Jyoti's experience

TATA Motors Limited is the leading global automobile manufacturer. Since I have a personal interest in automobiles, getting a chance to do an internship at TATA Motors Limited was like a dream come true.
The selection process at TATA Motors Limited consisted of three rounds. These were:
Most students easily breezed through the CV shortlisting round. The online exam, a 3.5-hour test, tested the candidates on topics like quant, logical reasoning, data interpretation, verbal, psychometric, and sales test. It was an elimination round. The selected candidates for the next round were only 20. The selected candidates had to sit for a personal interview.
Tata Motors Limited selected me as an intern after I cleared all the three rounds. The project assigned to me primarily focused on Business Development and Strategic Planning of a brand new commercial vehicle launch. The project was based on database collection, finding new opportunities, and developing effective sales techniques. Additionally, I also did some research on customer and company feedback which helped the company stay ahead of its competitors.
My internship was like any other internship taught me a great deal about hard skills such as Data Analysis, Digital Marketing, Excel, Power-Point, and Problem-Solving. I also got an opportunity to work on and enhance my soft skills. I can say now, with confidence, that I am a better communicator than what I was prior to the internship. Overall, the internship at TATA Motors Limited was a well- rounded experience.
Given a chance, I would grab the opportunity to work with TATA Motors Limited, in a heartbeat. The reason behind it is simple, the automobile industry is my area of interest. TATA Motors Limited will definitely give a headstart to my career.
