ISRO Recruitment 2023: 65 Vacancies Announced For Scientists/Engineers
If you’ve always been interested in unraveling the mysteries of the universe, then the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has ‘space’ for you! ISRO has announced 65 vacancies for engineering and architecture graduates for the post of scientist/engineer in four disciplines, namely Civil, Electrical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Architecture.
ISRO is India’s space agency, responsible for executing the country’s Space Programme. Headquartered in Bengaluru, ISRO operates under the Department of Space and is one of the six agencies in the world with full launch capabilities.

ISRO Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
The upper age limit for candidates applying to either of the posts is 28 years. For OBC candidates, it’s 31 years and for SC/ST candidates, it’s 33. Here are the requisite educational qualifications for each post:

ISRO Recruitment 2023: Selection Process
The selection criteria for all posts include a written test and a personal interview. Equal weightage (50%) is accorded to both.
The 120-minute-long written paper will consist of two parts:
- Part A will be specific to the area or discipline. It will consist of 80 Multiple Choice Questions of 1 mark each. 75% of the questions will be on the core specialization/ discipline and the remaining 25% will cover the allied area topics. +1 and -1/3 marking patterns will be followed.
- Part B will be an aptitude/ability test. It will consist of 15 Multiple Choice Questions equalling 20 marks. Questions will be based on Numerical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Diagrammatic Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning and Deductive Reasoning. There’s no negative marking.
- Candidates from the unreserved category need to score 50% in both Part A and B, while those from the reserved category need to score 40% in both.
Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for the interview in the ratio of 1:5, with an aggregate minimum of 10 candidates.
ISRO Recruitment 2023: Salary
Selected candidates will receive a monthly basic pay of INR 56,100. They will also receive a Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance.
Furthermore, as per orders by the Central Government, they will also be eligible for obtaining medical facilities for themselves and dependents, subsidized canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc.
ISRO Recruitment 2023: Application Process
Interested candidates can apply online for either of the posts. The last date for submitting the application is May 24, 2023. Please find below the application process:
- Each post has a separate application form. Candidates can access the application form for the desired post through the ISRO recruitment notification.
- Candidates need to upload their photos and signature in JPG format while filling out the form online. No other document is needed at the time of application.
- After completing the application form, candidates have to submit the application fee of INR 250. Candidates can submit the fee online, or physically through an SBI branch. The last day for payment of the application fee is May 26, 2023.
- All Women/Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST); Ex-serviceman [EX] and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
- Candidates applying for multiple posts need to separately pay the application fee of INR 250 for each post.
