ISRO Internship 2023 (VSSC) For BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, M.Sc./B.Sc., BS/MS Students

The much anticipated ISRO internship opportunity at its lead centre VSSC has been released. Interested students fulfilling the eligibility criteria must apply before 31st August, 2023 for the block period of October-December. The internship is open to various STEM courses, including BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, M.Sc, and B.Sc (Physics/Chemistry) among others.

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is the lead Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space (DOS), Government of India. VSSC pioneers in rocket research and launch vehicle projects of ISRO.

They launch internship opportunities twice a year under two block periods:

ISRO Internship 2023: Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should be a citizen of India. 
• Students who have pursued courses in the disciplines of Science/Technology that are relevant to DoS/ISRO Programmes alone will be considered.
• An internship will be offered to students who just completed BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, M.Sc, Integrated M.Sc, B.Sc (Physics/Chemistry) & BS-MS (Physics/Chemistry) programs from a recognized University/ Institution as a regular on-campus student.

The prerequisite marks for applying for the ISRO internship (VSSC) is a minimum aggregate of 60% or 6.32 CGPA on a scale of 10. 

ISRO Internship 2023: Block Period

The ISRO Internship 2023 (VSSC) is rolled out for two block periods. One with a minimum of 21 days & the other with a maximum of 45 days. The aspirants who missed out on the May-July block can still apply for the upcoming October- December block.

It is to be noted that the last date for receiving the application for the upcoming block is 31st August 2023.  

ISRO Internship 2023: Stipend

No stipend/remuneration/financial assistance will be given by VSSC/ISRO during the period of internship.

ISRO Internship 2023: Important Details

• A student will be allowed to pursue only one internship per degree. 
• The student shall be permitted to carry out an internship only at the ‘Unclassified Areas of VSSC/ISRO. 
• The student seeking an internship opportunity should apply for the ISRO Internship (VSSC) within 6 months from the completion of the course.
• Certificate of Degree/provisional degree and a detailed biodata must be attached separately with the details of educational qualifications, previous internships/projects done (if any), skills, area of interest, work experience (if any), etc. 
• The application in the prescribed form completed in all respects by the applicant and duly approved by the Principal/HOD should be received in HRDD, VSSC on or before the due date. 
• Incomplete applications will be rejected. 
• The application form and declaration by the student & Principal/HOD should be filled in all respects. 
• Decisions on the acceptance/rejection of the application will be communicated to the student.
