In the earlier months, it was notified that Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will accept admissions on the basis of merit to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. However, in the EC (Executive Council) meeting it rolled back its decision and decided to conduct entrance (written) tests for admissions into both the UG and PG courses.

Because of the unprecedented situations created by the pandemic, the University was brooding whether they should accept admissions on the basis of merit.

However, the mode of the entrance examinations for UG and PG courses is yet to be finalised. In the due course of time, the University will announce the same on its website.

Results to be declared soon

JMI has also notified in its EC meeting that the results of the students in their final semester/year will be released soon. The results of all the programmes will be out as soon as possible. The final semester/year exams were conducted by JMI from June 5th, 2020 to June 20th, 2020. This stands true for all the faculties except FoD (Faculty of Dentistry) and CPRS (Centre for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences). As far as these two departments are concerned, JMI was waiting for the respective governing bodies to give their guidelines regarding the conduction of the examinations.

Fee Payment

Keeping in view the disturbing situation created by the global pandemic, the University has allowed students to deposit their total (University and school) fees in two installments. Students, however, have to pay the entire fees for the year before the admit card of their annual (semester) examination is issued.

Proposal for IJLS approved

The Executive Council in its meeting also approved the ultimate proposal and the final structure of an IJLS (Integrated Jamia Library System). In this, the entire thirty-four JMI faculties and center libraries will be integrated and transformed into one IJLS.
