JEE Advanced 2020 results out, check out the recent updates
The JEE Advanced 2020 results were out earlier in the day. IIT Delhi released the JEE Advanced 2020 cutoff marks including the results. The link to check the JEE Advanced 2020 results is now active on the official website jeeadv.nic.in. Chirag Falor, from Pune, topped the JEE Advanced 2020 examination, who took the exam from the IIT Bombay zone. He secured twelfth rank in the JEE Main 2020 and had already secured his place in MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
JoSAA counselling begins tomorrow
About 6,707 female candidates and 36,497 male candidates have successfully made it through JEE Advanced 2020. According to the data in 2019, about 33,349 male candidates and only 5,356 women candidates could qualify in this tough examination. The JoSSA counselling sessions for admissions into various IITs, NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) will begin from tomorrow, i.e., October 6th, 2020.
JEE Advanced 2020 statistics
The entrance examination was held on September 12th, 2020 in 222 cities, spread across 1001 IIT JEE exam centres across India. However, out of the total registrations done for JEE Advanced 2020, the attendance recorded for the examination was just 96%.
About 1,51,311 candidates wrote the examination for Paper 1 and 1,50,900 students appeared in Paper 2 of the IIT JEE Advanced 2020.

The Education Minister of India, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ congratulated and sent his heartfelt wishes to all the candidates who successfully cleared the JEE Advanced 2020. The calculation policy of marks for JEE Advanced 2020 takes into consideration the marks that are secured both in individual subjects and in aggregate. Giving strength to the students who could not clear the national level examination, the Minister of State for Education, Sanjay Dhotre reminded the candidates that a host of other exciting opportunities await them.
